This buck was killed in mid January , 2000. In Elmore County , Alabama with a Ruger 7mag.
The rut was on and it had rained most of the day , hard at times but let up around 3:00 and I headed for the woods behind the house . On the way to the green field in the woods I spotted a couple of does moving through it . After the does moved on I set up on the ground where they had gone through on the west end of the green  patch . About a hour later I seen a buck making his way to me moving the same way the does had moved . When he got close enough for me to get a good look at him I decided to take him , he never moved after I shot .
